So on the way home from my MaryKay meeting, we had a CD on in the car all about reaching goals and teambuilding and yeah yeah yeah.  ANYHOW, there was a line about someone not getting what they thought they needed to reach their goal.  Their director said you will do it “with or without” them.

The idea you can do something with or without what you need is…WOW.  I needed that though.  I was denied a second assistantship at WIU (BTW I’m going to grad school in the fall for choral conducting).  I really wanted this one.  And their are no other assistantships available for me to apply to (I do not meet the requirements).  

I’m heart broken, horrified….mortified.  Okay honestly, shit happens.  I’m going to grad school.  I reached my goal! Fuck money….

Not the point!  So!  The point is, mom didn’t freak when I told her (odd right?); instead, she said “It’s okay.  It’ll work out.”  I’m just like “dude….dude?  Dude.”  (yes definitely English there).  I can get a job.  Already, I’m trying to set up an interview for an on campus job.  I will find off campus work (somewhere).  I WILL SURVIVE!!! “CAUSE AS LONG AS I KNOW HOW TO LOVe..” oh sorry…music major MUST MUSIC!!!  um so….

So basically.  I will succeed with or without.  It doesn’t matter what I’m succeeding with or without, what matters is that I WILL succeed regardless.  I think most people do not believe that.  I’ve always had faith in that; however, not outright belief.  I do now.  I am 23 years old.  No real J.O.B., no way to pay for grad school…YET, no future….SORTA; but,…”with or without.”

Try it sometime. Don’t just have faith.  Full out freaking “I AM ALIVE” BELIEVE! that you will _______ with or without (_______).  I know you can.  Why?  Because if I can do it…. :)  Duh.

I bet…what do you want to do?  What do you need?  I bet you can do it with or without.
